Missionaries!!

This past week has easily been one of the best weeks of my life! This week had its ups and downs, but it still FLEW. If the weeks keep going by like this one, I'm gonna miss my mission so hopefully it really slows down. (in a good way)

I got set apart last Sunday, and finally got to put my tag on! As I was being set apart, I was filled with comfort and power, knowing that this is what the Lord wants me to do.

The Next day I finally got to meet my companion and District! My Companion's name is Elder Jackson and he is amazing. It is so cool to see us have the same opinions on how we teach and how we both kinda learn close to the same thing from different verses. Plus with having 7 hours of zoom classes a day, I can always look forward to having a breakout room with him for a couple minutes because it is so much fun. There have been multiple times this week where someone is reading something and then we both just start laughing over nothing.

I am confident that my District is quite possibly the best district ever! From the class we had as a district, you could immediately feel the unity and desire to serve from everyone in the district. Everyone is just filled with the spirit constantly, and outside of the spiritual aspect, everyone is just so awesome! The thought of finally meeting them on Wednesday is super exciting because it already feels like we are all so close.

I am so grateful for my teachers as well, they bring so much fun and just overall enjoyment to the classes we have that makes an hour feel like 15 minutes. I have learned so much this past week about being a missionary through the spirit, which would be a whole lot harder if they didn't bring the spirit into every meeting we have.

Earlier this week, one of the elders was caught drinking some root beer during class. He told us that he had to get through 4, two litre bottles before going to the MTC this wednesday. By Friday night, he was still far from finishing, so I made him a deal. Everytime Brother Barlow said "Missionaries" I would join him in taking a sip of root beer. The whole district decided to join in and so during the next break we all got a drink. Seeing Brother Barlow absolutely stunned after we all took a sip at the same time was hilarious. Some people in the district stopped, but we still had a couple people do it for the full hour. Safe to say, I don't want to drink Root Beer for a good while now.

So grateful I don't have to drink another 2 Litre bottle before Wednesday

Lastly, I just wanted to share something cool I came across this week.
In 1 John 5: 14-15 it says, " And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him."

It's so simple but so beautiful. If we exercise our faith and reach out to God with a question, he will hear us, and he will answer us if it is our full desire. Not some half desired question, but with full desire, having full faith that He will answer, He will.

I want to bear my testimony, that I know our prayers are heard. I know we can receive comfort, strength, answers to questions, and blessings from God. I have received answers so many times, even in this last week. And I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

This week has seriously been one of the happiest times of my life and I can't wait to continue feeling this true happiness in the following week!

Until Next week, (hopefully)

Elder Stewart
