Breaking records aint easy
Hey Y'all, hope you're all doing well! This week has been so exhausting but so good!
This week we somehow found 20 new people to teach which is really awesome out here. Then we had 18 LMPs(Lessons with Members Participating) which beats the 16 some elders had. And it was super impressive due to Wednesday being district council, and Thursday being exchanges where I wasn't here at all.
With all the hard work this week, there have been so many miracles brought for us to witness.
The biggest one was, we were out with Brother Merrill and we were going to drop him off and knock some doors, but he insisted that he come out with us because he had a little extra time. The first and only door we knocked with him was our new friend Alonda, who is from the Congo and only speaks Swahili and French. And it turns out that brother Merrill is 1 of 2 members in our ward that can fluently speak french. We had a lesson with him, and he is really interested. We were able to get him set up on the Book of Mormon app and set the language to his native language which made him so happy.
Another amazing Miracle this week was while I was on exchanges. The elder who led the area decided to go looking, so we knocked around on a trailer park, she had a great question for us about why God gives people pain. She has had this disease all her life and lost her relationship with God because she feels lost and forgotten. It was such a good chance to relate to her and be there for her, before I closed with my testimony of how the Atonement can truly change her life and bring her happiness and purpose again.
This week I have seen so much growth in myself, and it is all due to this Gospel. It seriously changes lives and brings people everlasting Joy, which can only be given from God. For the last couple of nights here, we have just been exhausted. But somehow we are able to get up and do it all again in the morning. And that is a miracle in itself, because I would just love to stay in and play monopoly haha.
The work here is so satisfying and so fulfilling to do and I'm still super happy to be out here serving. The work is amazing, but we are still having tons of fun out here. And somehow I still love it here, despite the heat starting to pick up.
Also couldn't send this Email out without giving a shout out to Pros-dog. He stuck with us to find people for an entire Trailer Park, and helped us find one nice old lady who is super interested in the Gospel!
