Residence floors > Sandpaper

We have had so much to keep us busy here at the MTC, but after last P-day, everyone kinda realized how much they were actually missing, and so the start of the week was slow. Everyone was mostly just sad to be away from home. It was pretty lame, but thankfully, we had some cool things happen that started to bring morale back.

This week we got to go to the temple 2x which was super awesome! The first time, we did endowments, and the second was Sealing children to their parents. There is such a sweet spirit when doing temple work because you can feel the people on the other side of the veil accepting the work you've done. Sealing families together for all eternity was especially awesome because I could recognize the last names and knew how they were related to me. I love doing temple work so much because everyone needing the work done has to wait for us to do it, so it's a really cool experience.

Tuesday night, we had President Palmer (President of the 70) and his Wife be here for a devotional, and it was really cool to hear their message about how a simple invitation can completely lift someone's life up! They showed a video about a bunch of general authorities and how a simple invitation changed the way they thought about life and how they wanted to live life after that. The Savior loved everyone, and so it's really been really cool to see how just doing things on purpose to try and make their day better affects me.

One of the biggest morale boosters this week was a teaching experience. Me and Elder Jackson got to teach someone in person here, and it went really really well. Our lesson went way off plan, but it worked so well, and just made us feel like we knew everything(which didn't last long) and that definitely made our day.

Later that night, me and Elder John decided to race around our residence hall, because why not? And I guess I didn't lift my foot all the way and the carpet ripped through my foot. Safe to say I lost. It's been a painful week, but it's almost fully healed now so there's no problem.

This week, I've used a scripture all week to get me through it. It's been, Mosiah 3:3. It says, "And he said unto me; Awake, and hear the words which I shall tell thee; for behold, I am come to declare unto you the glad tidings of great joy. I cannot wait to go to SC next week and start bringing Joy into people's life everyday!

During this slow, rough week, where most everyone wanted to go home, the Joy from this gospel brought me through it, and I am so happy to still be here! I am 72 hours away from having flavored food again, and I am starting to count down!

Till next week in SC!!

For the pictures:
Donuts were Krispy Kreme and were SO GOOD!
The Airport looking one was out a window on a rainy night from like the 6th floor. It was really cool so I snatched a picture. Then me and Jackson at the temple.
I'll make sure to get another of the district maybe later tonight. But good ideas on pictures!

Yeah my patriarchal blessing has helped a ton this past week though and I'm so grateful to have it!
