2 Week Miracle

This week has been one of the funnest, but one of the most wild, weeks in the mission!

We woke up this past Tuesday, and had an appointment with Tami. She was planning to be baptized on the upcoming Sunday, but we weren't sure if she was going to make it. We rushed over to her house and had a lesson with her where we just asked her if she really wanted to be baptized this sunday. She said absolutely. She had her granddaughter's graduation to go to, but they never reached out about where it was or what time, so she said that she would spend her weekend coming to church and being baptized! So we spent a ton of time with her this past week, and she was able to get baptized!!

One other sweet thing that happened this past week, is that we got to do some service for a guy in our ward. We went to his property and helped him cut tons and tons of wood. The thing none of us thought about was Fire ants... We all got bit up pretty quickly, but it was still so much fun cutting and placing wood.

This week has been all over the place though, because my companion has gotten to do a bunch of Baptismal interviews all over the Zone. Our zone got 5 Baptims this past week, with 4 of them in our district, so we have been driving all over the place.

But even with the time being super limited, maybe due to some bad planning haha, the Lord still helps so many different miracles to happen. We met this guy earlier this week who walked up to us as we were walking in an apartment complex and asked us to pray for him. We took the opportunity to talk to him and learn more about him and introduce him to the Book of Mormon. He felt the spirit and knew that this is what he needed that day. He is super interested in the Gospel, and has been so fun to teach so far.

The summer makes things so exciting here in New Bern, because so many more people have appeared out of nowhere. I swear the population just doubled in the last week. But that makes the work so much fun! There are so many people to talk to, and not a whole lot of time to do it.

Hope everyone is enjoying Summer!
Have a great week!
