Rain --> Straight Heat
This week has been so sweet! It started off POURING and then was a good 90+ degrees for the rest of the week. Then, we found this lady who lives about 30 minutes away in an assisted living place who has been super receptive, so we have spent a lot of time in that town.
But sadly, she found something she wasnt receptive to and doesn't want to pray about, so she dropped us... Hopefully sometime down the road, some other elders will reach out and she will be ready for them
Outside of her, we have gotten to see a lot of our friends progress!
Our friend Katrina finally came to church and loved it! She is praying to know that Baptism is the right thing for her, but is still planning on being baptized here pretty soon!
Janice is seriously understanding what we are teaching, and is planning on coming to church as soon as something crazy like getting an award you've been waiting your whole life for, doesn't happen on a sunday so she can make it.
It is seriously impressive how many people have the wildest things come up in their lives to keep them from coming to church.
We had Zone Conference this week and it was so uplifting! I felt like there was so much I need to focus on to be better as a missionary. The spiritual momentum lasted for a while which makes the work so much fun, even when things don't always happen the way we want them to.
At the end of the week we were super exhausted trying to fulfill the goals we had set for ourselves this week, but we had no luck. So many lessons fell through which was disappointing. But it's okay, the work keeps going on even when it feels like it isn't.
I am so happy to be out here and am seriously grateful to be here, even when some things make it difficult to be out here. The Lord's work is truly amazing to be a part of, and at the end of the day, I would always rather be spending my time serving and experiencing the Joys of this work
