Baptism Prep!!

Another week down the drain!! This week was super crazy fast. I don't know where it went, or really what all happened, but it was super sweet!

A couple highlights were

Janice finally came to church!!! It took 7 weeks to get her to church, but she came and absolutely loved it. We made a game plan at DCM of how we were going to do it, and we totally forgot about it until we were there. Once I remembered it, we started the plan we made by singing a hymn to her. She absolutely ate it up, and hyped us up for the next 15 minutes. Once we told her how big music is in our church, she said she had to come see.
Then when she was there, she absolutely loved it and said there is no doubt she will be back.

Another Highlight was that Nicholas and Marie passed their baptismal interview! We have worked with them for a little while, but they have finally been able to understand what we were teaching.

Then we had a little scare this week. Nicholas and Marie are both on date for the 8th. But... our ward has a kid who's getting baptized on the 8th and didn't want to have a combined baptism, so we stressed out Friday night about potentially having the baptism 2 days later.

So our baptism this next week is looking a little different, but it is going to be so great!

Lastly, today for P-day we went to this burger place with the district, and I guess the waitress noticed a W.W.J.D bracelet and gave us all the food without us paying for it. It was super nice. I guess I really need to invest in those.

If there is one thing that I have learned this week, it is that our time on the mission is so limited, and it is super important to always stay busy. I love the promise in Doctrine and Covenants 4 that says, "the field is white already to harvest." I have seen so many blessings from just going forward and doing work. Being busy is so important, and it's been interesting to see the people here in New Bern that have goals and work, vs those who don't work.

I love being here and I love working everyday. This work is super fulfilling. Can't wait to have more to share next week!
Take care everyone!
