Goodbye New Bern

This week, transfers came, and I finally left New Bern. I got transferred to Havelock which is about 20 minutes away haha.

Havelock is a city where half of it is a military base! I am already so excited to be here! I have watched the area struggle for the past 2 transfers, so I'm super excited to be here and get to work!

After being here for 3 days, so much has happened! We have started teaching tons of people, and so many of them really have a desire to be baptized, and have for the past couple of months, so it shouldn't be too hard to finally get them to the waters of baptism and help them get so many more blessings in their lives! We have gotten so much closer to the members to get them involved as well!

It's been super great serving, and besides all the crazy rainstorms that are killing the power for hours, it has been tons of fun. We've been super busy and are just going to get busier.

One super cool thing that happened this week was that Nicholas and Marie got baptized! There were tons of complications that got in the way, like their mom saying no until Saturday night. Then saying don't talk to me again, while they still needed her signature! It was super hectic, but all of it worked out okay!

It is impossible to say that the Lord was not involved in the details of that baptism. So many things that shouldn't have happened, happened to make it all work out.

There's a lot of work ahead in Havelock and I'm super excited to get some momentum going down there!

Crazy thing of the week... We ran into this guy yesterday that ran us down after we knocked on his door. Turns out he has been studying religion since 2006 and he has come to the conclusion that God has only spoken to Moses, and that Moses was just a lucky dude. He says that the 10 commandments are the only thing that we need. Super crazy conversation, and super weird takes that he had. He was definitely lost in the sauce and missed so many basic truths. I still have no idea how that is the conclusion after years of studying, But that just makes me super grateful for this Restored Gospel, and for the Atonement. It would be a super lame way of looking at life without having a Savior who died for our sins, who was resurrected which lets us all be resurrected some day. I am super grateful for the Gift of the Holy Ghost which helps us know for ourselves about what is true and what isn't. I know that God's plan truly is a plan of happiness where the main focus is for us to be eternally happy and have eternal Joy.
The Spirit will give you so much more knowledge than studying can, and I am super grateful for all that I have learned through the Spirit so far!

sorry this one was a little longer, Take care yall
