Drunk Man Stare Down
This week was absolutely Wild! We had a lot of interesting moments with different people here in Savannah but it's been amazing. We have been spending our days literally talking to everybody we know and it is so fun!
We had a wild moment with this drunk man who asked us for money to buy a "soda", who then stared each of us down after we told him we didn't carry any cash on us. He stepped towards us kind of aggressively, so we definitely thought he was going to beat one of us up, but it didn't happen so can't complain.
One of the cooler moments we had this week was in a lesson with our friend Larry. He set up a spot and time for us to meet with him, and after a long bike ride to meet with him we made it and had a super amazing lesson. Larry wants to be baptized again and is super interested in what we believe. We've had a couple hour long lessons with him either over the phone or in person. And he is just learning so much. He really wants to be baptized here soon but the only hold up is getting him to church. He's retired and so he doesn't wake up until 3:00 p.m. most days, but he really wants to come to church, so hopefully he'll make it this next week!
My favorite part about being in Savannah is how everyone wants to make sure that they are spiritually prepared for what's to come. And they want to make sure that they're prepared in the right way. Lots of the people we are teaching right now are worried about if they were baptized correctly because they feel like something's missing spiritually with them. So it's super exciting to work with them and to try to teach them the doctrine of baptism to help them receive what theure missing.
This week has just been so fun and so life changing. We have had lots of moments where we have had to exercise some Charity and Love, but it makes me feel happier as a person once I do.
