Surprise Members!
This week has been a grind, but it was so worth it and so much fun!

We had tons of lessons this week and as usual, lots of them fell through so we ended up knocking quite a lot.
We ran into one guy who we totally thought was going to bash us because he was looking for something when we first got there. But on the return appointment he immediately asked how he could get his baptismal records. Turns out he has been inactive for 25 years and wants to come back. His family is super interested in learning about the gospel too which is super exciting!
Then one of the older ladies we have been teaching who was arguably accountable sometimes, told us she was baptized when she was younger and forgot about it. She is super happy to have the Book of Mormon again!
This week as a district we decided to make a bet on who could say a random word during a contact the most during the week without getting called out. It obviously wasn't the focus because its a lot more important to talk about the gospel than saying random words, but it was so funny.
It was so weird saying "Cornucopia or That's how it feels to own a horse" and I have no idea how no one ever got called out for it. Anyways the bet was, whoever lost had to eat a cookout shake with all the flavors. We actually ended up losing, but they came in clutch and said 4 was the max they would do. But it didn't matter. We ended up having a really nasty shake today...
The work this week felt super long, but the miracles we witnessed kept us going. I'm super grateful for bikes that continue to work and for the absolutely beautiful weather we've been having here.
But out of everything I have been so grateful for the sacrament. This week had so many times where it felt like it was never going to end. It wasn't a bad week or anything, but just felt like it was taking forever. I wasn't feeling as great as usual and couldn't really tell you why, but I just really wanted it to be Sunday so I could go and take the sacrament again. The way we explain the sacrament out here is that it fills your spiritual battery for the week. Just like our phones, some days we need to use it more than others, so it's super important that we recharge it every opportunity we can. I am so grateful for the opportunity to take the sacrament every week and receive that spiritual renewal in my life to help me become more like Christ in my life. It just makes us feel happy. I'm also so grateful for the fact that those blessings come to everyone who partakes. I know it has made a huge impact in my life, but more importantly the life of my friends that i've met out here.
Have a great week!
