Where Did Everyone Go?

This week has been a crazy week with all of the meetings we've had.

We started on Tuesday with our weekly district council meeting which ran longer than it should have. Then after we drove home, we had some lessons planned with one of the members in our ward. But Tuesday decided to kick off the week with its theme. Not a single person answered the door. It was so weird. Then after dinner we rushed back to the apartment to pack up, because the next morning we had first transfer training in Myrtle Beach (3.5 hour drive) at 9 am. So we decided to head out to another Missionaries apartment for the night that would save us from the terrible drive in the morning.
First transfer training was so spiritual and uplifting, but it took up almost all of Wednesday due to the travel time for us.
Thursday we had Exchanges with the AP's!! We woke up so determined to go to work, only for almost all of our lessons to fall through. It was so weird. We went out to find some people, and no one answered the door.

The next couple of days flew, with us getting tons of Lessons with Members. Saturday, we went to the evening session of Stake Conference about an hour away. After Stake Conference on Sunday, we had some sick hour-long lessons with our friend Dragon and David.

Dragon bought us tons of food, while his cats ran around and played with us. Suddenly, my nose started acting up. I was feeling completely fine before walking in there, but that hour-long lesson became super difficult to get through while looking and sounding healthy. As soon as I walked out, I felt fine again so that was a relief, but I'm really not banking on suddenly being Allergic to cats.

Outside of the Craziness of the week, it has been such a special week. It had been the week leading up to Palm Sunday. Stake Conference was so amazing to just be completely focused on all the special events that take place during this holy week. I love the opportunity we have to focus our lives and studies more on Christ, and the Joys of the Resurrection. Despite all of the hard days with not much to look back on and be proud about, but being here, serving my Savior, brings me all the joy I need to get me through the work.
