Savannah Cannot be Real

This week was by far was my craziest week on the mission!

It started off super normal with DCM, and us going to SPC (Savannah Pizza Company) for lunch but then the week turned wild. This week on bike, I got to ride 5 different bikes.

It was a blast fixing them and then taking them out the next day, just for another thing to go wrong

Usually they happened at somewhat convenient times, but one of the times, we had a lesson that was a 15 minute bike ride away that we were already late for.

This lesson was planned for weeks, so we really had to be there. Then the bike broke down and so I ended up getting to run with my bag full of Book of Mormons, and a full water bottle for awhile haha. But rest assured, we made it and had an awesome lesson!

You would think that would be it, but it gets even crazier! We're riding down the street, and someone house gets MOLOTOV bombed! Whole thing went up in flames so that was surreal.

So many other wild things, like Parades, sketchy staircases that felt like they were going to break, and more that makes your nerves go up!

And then finally I had my first "crash" on the bike we were booking it to a lesson, and we crossed a street behind this girl who was walking. My companion went first, and then she jumped in my way after he passed. At this point im on the 5th bike so not much works at all. Especially the Brakes. So I swerved out of the way and hit a wall
But, the bike kinda jumped up and gave me a nice bruise.

But the work goes on! We have been teaching our friend Bri who is totally amazing! She has kept every commitment we have given her and is going to be Baptized on Sunday!! She was seriously so ready for the gospel, it is so incredible to watch. She takes full notebook pages of notes on the pamphlets we give her so she can make sure to remember it all!

With all the struggles, especially with the bikes it has reminded me about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. With all these issues that we keep needing to fix, it would just be so easy to destroy the bike because it is no good. But yet we do our best to fix it up. The atonement is the same way. We keep making mistakes, we break gears, strip bolts and lose friction on the brakes. But the atonement is infinite, so we can rest assured that we will never be thrown away. We can all be fixed. Sometimes it will take longer than we want, but we will be able to be fixed. And no matter how many times we break, we can always be fixed. I'm so grateful for my Mechanic, who has helped me so many times this week, and fix me up for the next day.

I hope you all have a great week!
